Emily and her family

Hi my name is Kaitlyn Martin and last night, March 14th 2025, my best friend Emily and her family lost their home and everything they own including one of their cats in a house fire. Red Cross has paid for them to be placed in a hotel until Monday, where they are unsure what they will do next.

Emily lost all of her belongings that she’s worked so hard to own which included a MacBook she used daily for school as well as many other more important things like clothes, toiletries, and countless other items that will never compare to the loss of one of her cats.

Although the social media posts going around say no one was home, Emily was and she hauled 3 out of the 4 animals out herself and tried to go back for the fourth but was unable to search the home as it had been engulfed in flames by then.

Emily had received some donations of necessities like some toiletries and some clothes to wear for now but needs many things to try to go back to normal after this tragedy.

This money will be used to purchase things her and her family will need such as food, clothes, toiletries and if needed somewhere to stay while they figure out how to rebuild everything they have lost.

Any donation or sharing of this post means a lot to not only Emily and her family but me as well.
