To my disappointment, my job at Safeway ended on August 15th. I was promised 24-40 hours/week but was only scheduled 24, which were reduced to 18, & then to 7.

I worked as hard as I could & as fast as I could, but my Manager was never satisfied & kept telling me I should be at the same level (after only 2 weeks) as my co-workers who had been there 5+ years!

I was also becoming increasingly concerned with my safety, having to (on weekends walk a mile to) go to Downtown Seattle at 3:45 - 4:15AM & wait for the bus while I was being watched by the really scary, crazy people contemplating who-knows-what as I stood there.

The day I left Safeway, I had, what I believed to be, a strong job lead & I thought I would be back to work the following week. However, I have heard nothing back from That application nor any of the other many applications I've completed over the past two weeks.

My last check was Thursday & it was only for two days. With that, I made a partial payment on my phone/internet bill & bought a few groceries. I am now down to my last $28 & no job prospects in sight.

I have no income in the foreseeable future & I am STILL waiting on a decision on my appeal on my unemployment from when I lost my job at the drug store on June 1st! I follow up with them weekly but I keep getting told they are backlogged & they will get to mine whenever they get to it.

For these reasons, I am again reaching out to you for assistance. I must pay the balance of my phone bill by next Friday & make at least a partial payment on my rent. Anything would help and I promise I will pay you back as soon as I get a job and get back on my feet. I am embarrassed that it has come to this AGAIN, but I don't know what else I can do at this point. Thank you in advance for your assistance.
