Spy & Dine follows the adventures of John and his husband, Milo. Milo is a stay-at-home husband while his partner, John, works as a spy. He is very good at his job, so much so that Milo is unaware of what he does. Lately, his work life has taken over. With him being away a lot more than Milo would like. Causing suspicion.

Milo tries to plan a date night. Unsure of his work, he gives a vague answer before picking up a package from his handler. Upon reading it, he is tasked to follow a lead at a fancy restaurant that night. Fed up, Milo confronts John, demanding that they spend the night together or else. Caught between his work and Milo, John plans to appease both of them. Taking Milo to the same restaurant where he has been tasked to follow his target.
