What a whirlwind the last 24 hours have been. Bare with me as I have only had two hours of sleep.. After a visit to the ER last night and being transported to Riley for blood transfusions, today Elliott was diagnosed with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia. We are looking at about a month here at Riley, and the next 2.5 years of treatments. If all goes well tomorrow they will start chemo after placing his port, checking bone marrow, and doing a spinal tap. My head is spinning, and I’m still in shock but I know he will make it through this. He is strong, determined, and has consistently proven that to us. Please if everyone reading this can say a prayer for him, this has been nothing short of exhausting and confusing for him. It breaks my heart to watch him have to go through this, but I know he has the best support system.
