Help a Gaza Mother Protect Her Little children

Hi, my name is Abdelrahman Al Hanafi, and I am fundraising for my friend Hassan Shakshak. This is his message:

> I write to you with a heart full of despair and hope, clinging to the belief that kindness still exists in this world. My family and I are stuck in Gaza, where every day feels like a battle for survival, and the future seems more uncertain than ever. Genocide and relentless attacks have torn our world apart, and the displacement crisis has left us with nothing but fear and sadness.

> For seventeen difficult months, we have lived in the shadow of war—airstrikes, bombings, and destruction from all sides. We wake up every day not knowing if we will see tomorrow.

> My name is Hassan. I lost my job in this war as a marketer at a company in Gaza. I had a car and a stable income that allowed me to support my family and live a decent life. But after the war took my job, I became homeless and penniless. I now struggle to protect my daughter, my wife, and our family of four.

> My wife is a dentist. She recently graduated and started working in a dental clinic, but fate turned Gaza into ashes. She worked hard to save money to obtain her university degree, but tuition fees have now accumulated to $9,000. Her dream has turned into a nightmare, and her ambitions are fading. My wife has always known me as an ambitious and determined man. We got married while she was still studying and welcomed our first daughter, Rahaf, during her final university year. Despite the challenges, she graduated on time.

> Our second daughter, Elif, was born during this war. I never imagined my wife would give birth in such a horrifying time. The war continues, and since Elif's birth, I’ve been struggling to provide her with diapers and milk. She is now nine months old, and there is no food or clean water available for children. I am torn apart inside, trying to feed her, Rahaf, and their mother. Even breastfeeding is a challenge because my wife lacks proper nutrition. When food is available, it’s at an unbearably high price, and we simply cannot afford it. Gaza has become an unbearable prison.

> We are desperate to leave and search for safety, but the cost of escape is far beyond our means. We have nowhere else to turn.

> I reach out to you not only as a stranger but as a father, a husband, and a human being. We need your help. We need someone to hear our cries. Please, if there is any way you can contribute to this GoFundMe campaign—no matter how small—it may be our lifeline. It could give us hope. It could allow me to start working again, help my wife retrieve her certificates, and continue her work as a doctor. Most importantly, it will help us provide the basics of life for our daughters.

> Your donation is more than just money—it is hope, life, and the chance for a future far from this nightmare.

> Every donation and every kind word brings us one step closer to safety, healing, and a peaceful life. We humbly ask for your compassion, sympathy, and support. You have the power to change our fate.

> Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading, for your attention, and for being a light in our darkest hours. For more information or any questions, please contact us.

Sincerely,
Hassan and his family
