Please help my mom
Hello, my name is Samantha Little, and I am the 23 year old daughter, I am reaching out about my mom, Marni Little. Unfortunately, my mom is extremely ill and can’t keep up with all the bills and health issues.
Mom has had health issues that plagued her entire life. On February 4, 2020 mom was gifted with a beautiful (from a live donor) kidney, as both of hers were no longer working. Before receiving her new kidney, she was on dialysis. Unfortunately, soon after she got her prized kidney, she went through a horrific recovery resulting in her being hospitalized in and out with Mayo. With the help of two friends, they were there to help when we couldn’t. She had staples removed that caused her a huge opening around her kidney. It took over 5 months to heal.
Then in January of 2021, my mom had a full left-side stroke and spinal meningitis. She was in ICU but she survived. Thank God she survived but still has major remnants, including her speech (though so much better); she can’t do things like math well, she forgets a lot, and she can’t recall words. This and a ton of other complications, surgeries and odds have been what my mom has been able to overcome. I believe her to be a true fighter!
But this time around it is really rough. She is fighting for her life, worse than anything she has endured.
In November 2021 she was hospitalized for an infected toe (thankfully, they were able to keep the bone and majority of it toe) but it led to horrible results to her kidney and life.
Shortly after she went home, she was almost immediately back in the hospital for a UTI, caused by the antibiotic. Toe. The UTI went straight into her new kidney. And put her into immediate kidney failure and septic again and it was / is fighting against the kidney. So my mom is in a very serious state and has to be carefully overseen and treated with kit clubs.
She was in the hospital and out for nearly all of December and a good part of January. She was and is fighting Septic and Complete kidney failure.
She is finally back at home but has to have daily infusions through an implanted TAC line, something like a central line that connects to the right side of her chest to her heart. She also now has a colostomy bag (where her urine goes into) sewn into her kidney, which leaves her very sad and humiliated.
I don’t want her to be stressed out by bills mounting up. I need her to rest and recuperate.
So any donation would be greatly appreciated
If you are graceful enough, any donations will make a world of difference to help her. She hates to have to ask others for help, but in these uncertain times, she knows letting us help is the only option. We pray and thank GOD for keeping her going. My mom is my best friend and anything would help.
