Ray’s Cancer Fight

Ray & Missy are starting the fight of their lives. At the beginning of the year Ray started having some health issues. After some extensive testing he was diagnosed with a locally advanced stage three cancer. As you can imagine, this was a huge shock from being perfectly healthy at Christmastime to finding this out in January.

The good news is this was discovered early. The challenge is going to be the aggressive treatment & surgery that is required to fight it. The next six months of treatments are going to be rough on Ray, Missy & their family. Ray has already been through some radiation treatments along with blood transfusions so far & is preparing for high dose chemotherapy as his body will tolerate it. He is currently being treated in Jackson, but once ready, they will be traveling out of state for surgery.

Needless to say, Ray has been unable to work and Missy will be by his side every step of the way. To know Ray, Missy & their family is to love them. As you reach out to support them, please be respectful of their privacy as they begin to navigate this difficult journey together. Ray would love to have visitors & in-person support. Please be sure you are healthy when visiting & be sure to check in with them to be sure he’s up for visits as he’s going through his chemo treatments. Updates will be posted as they become available while we all continue to support them in the most positive way we can.
