Last Wednesday, as I drove down my street, I saw how a dog named Max got hit by a car. This accident is probably the most heartbreaking thing I’ve ever witnessed. Bleeding and screaming, Max ran into a local business that was a few feet away. I then stopped my car and ran after him hoping to help. I found him crying and laying in a pool of blood. Honestly, I panicked. There was so much blood I didn’t know what to do. I cried and dialed 311 for help, but help never came, and Max desperately needed assistance. Luckily another neighbor who personally knew Max and his owners offered to drive Max to a hospital. The two of us then carried him into her backseat and was taken to the South LA animal shelter.
Miraculously, Max survived but has severe injuries. He has to be seen by a vet that has the proper treatments for his injuries, but this is all very expensive. Unfortunately, his owners have decided that they can’t afford any of the needed procedures or have the time to look after him.
I refuse to abandon him. Please help me get him the proper medical aid. You can donate or share this to with family and friends. Thank you so much.
