A Call for Help: Support LaShanda in Her Fight!

Hi friends, my name is LaShanda, and I’m writing to you with a heart full of hope and a deep need for help. I’m battling end-stage renal failure and urgently need a kidney donor to have a chance at life again. My blood type is O positive, and I’m holding on to faith that a match will come.

As a single mom to two adopted boys who have just graduated high school, my biggest wish is to continue being there for them. I was once a teacher, serving my community in Collier County, but now my health has made it impossible to work. My boys have stepped up, taking on jobs to help keep us afloat, but we’re struggling. With rent at $1,600 a month and other bills piling up, it’s been overwhelming for all of us.

I know this is a big ask, but if you can offer any support, whether financially or by sharing my story, it would mean the world to me and my family. Your kindness can help ease some of the burden while I wait for a kidney transplant and help us cover the costs of living, especially when I need to recover away from home in Tampa after the surgery.
