In the early hours of the morning, a tragic fire happened at the Grapevine Café, where a beloved community gathering place once stood. More than just a café, Grapevine was a second home a place where friendships were formed, memories made, and livelihoods built. In the aftermath, there dedicated team has been left without jobs and facing immense financial uncertainty. Several of the staff are parents, now struggling to support their children during what should be a joyful summer. I want to be clear no one has asked me to do this. I’ve chosen to start this fundraiser because I’ve seen firsthand how much love, time, and heart this team has poured into their work and their community I have made sure this is okay to do beforehand though. Every contribution will go directly toward helping them meet basic needs as they face the weeks ahead. Your support, in any form, would mean more than words can say.
