Help get us home & back on our feet!

Hi everyone, We recently purchased a 2014 Ram promaster back at the end of August 2021 and his journey has come to an end.. turns out the dealership (VCFlex in Toronto) we bought the van from didn’t properly safety the van when we bought it and now we need to replace the motor and other things to make it run again. It would cost over $15,000 to fix everything and we just don’t have that because we’ve put in close to $6000 the past couple months getting other issues fixed. We called the dealership we bought it from when we broke down in Thunder Bay and they told us we should’ve checked that it was safetied properly.. maybe just safety it according to the Ontario provincial safety standards?? If we did fix these issues, I have a feeling more things would go wrong because they can only replace so much with the parts available. Warranty came with the van but all the claims we’ve tried to do they’ve declined and now with the motor they want the mechanics to take everything apart, take pictures and put it back together (roughly $3,500) but they don’t even have parts to replace what’s wrong and would be a 6 week-4 month wait at least and the warranty may not even cover it.

We were supposed to be back in Ontario by April 1st but we’re currently stuck in Abbotsford, BC until we figure all this out. The Abbotsford Chrysler has been amazing here but it’s still going to be an uphill battle.

Because of this situation I now need to trade the van in and buy a new vehicle so we can make it back to Ontario. The plan is a truck so we can take as much off and out of the van as we can fit and start the drive back east. Since we’re losing our home we’ll now be homeless when we get back to Ontario. I’ve spent all my savings on this van the past couple weeks and have no way for first and last in the near future.

Any money you donate will help us get back to Ontario and get our feet back on the ground. We need to start fresh.. it’s frustrating and scary. I wouldn’t make this post if I didn’t find it necessary for us. Thank you in advance!
