We have struggled with the idea of putting this out there and asking for help.
Many of you know about my horrific accident back when I was 19, and how it's a miracle I was even able to have children of my own. Doctors told me I would never walk again, let alone have children. I was in a hospital bed for over three months and in a wheelchair for two. I was determined to prove them wrong, so without physical therapy I taught myself how to walk again with foot drop and nerve damage in my right leg.
A lot of you know me and my four beautiful children from my first marriage. You also know the struggles I went through with my ex-husband and raising my children on my own as a single mom - even when I was still legally married to him.
When Darrell and I met in 2012, he immediately took on the role of Dad to my children. Of course we've had a lot of bumps in the road as a blended family, but at the end of the day he loves them. He provides for them, and works overtime to support our family.
I made a decision to tie my tubes back in 2010 after the birth of my last child. Since I met Darrell, I have regretted having that procedure done. He has no biological children of his own, and we feel like the time is now to try to have a child together. I feel selfish even asking for help since I do have children of my own when some have none.
We don't believe in hand-outs or getting anything for free. Any donation $100 or more, I would love to give you a 1hr photography session if you live in my area.
These funds are to help with the IVF procedure cost of $15,000.
Thank you so much for even taking the time to read my story.
