Hi, my name is Yanelle Medina. You may have heard my story not long ago about my brain tumor that left me crippled and in medical debt. Thanks to your help, I was able to get better and not worry about financial issues. But what I thought was the end of a long, challenging journey turned into a brutal and painful rest of my life.
Even though the aftermath of my surgery was half-deafness, partial facial paralysis, and ataxia on my left limbs, I grew to work with it and grew stronger. But regardless of that growth, it has left me crippled enough not to be able to return to work. In addition, I now get gruesome headaches that leave me immobile and crying every two weeks. I've gone to many doctors about it, but none can provide me with a solution other than to "deal with it". I now am surrounded with pain medication (which I also have to carry with me always when I leave my house) and the added bonus of anxiety that comes whenever I leave my house to do anything or left alone, in fear that another headache gets triggered.
Apart from that, I am now told that there is most possibly another Schwannoma (tumor) in my left thigh that would have to be removed since I am getting pain in my leg. I am also getting tested for NF2 (neurofibrosis) since that could be the cause for these tumors to keep growing and showing up in my body.
Ever since my major surgery on December of 2020, I have had many difficult challenges. Some that have caused me to want to give up. If it weren't for the people around me, I probably wouldn't be where I am now. But what seemed like the end of the bumpy road, I see another ahead. To be honest, I am tired. I am tired of being told nothing but bad news from doctors. But I will not let this "mutation" defeat me.
So now, I am asking for your help once more. I will fight and win, but I cannot do this alone. Like I mentioned before, my past surgery has left me crippled and without work, but I still have many more doctor visits, medical tests, and surgeries to do. And with that, grows my medical debt. I know times are hard for others as well, so if you cannot donate, please share my story and help it spread.

Anything helps. Thank you and God bless.
