The Tahir Koylass Outstanding Scholar Award (TKOSA) is an annual scholarship award that recognizes one graduating Collegiate Scholar from the University of Chicago's Collegiate Scholars Program . Founded 2003, the Collegiate Scholars Program is a three-year program that aims to prepare talented Chicago Public Schools students in grades 10-12 for admission and success at the nation’s top colleges and universities.

Your donation will help us continue Tahir's legacy and provide much needed support to students aspiring to change their lives through education.

Tahir participated in the Collegiate Scholars Program from 2012-2015. During 18 months of this time, he fought a courageous battle against a rare brain tumor. He ultimately lost his battle on April 24, 2015.

Recipients of the Tahir Koylass Outstanding Scholar Award will embody outstanding resiliency, civic engagement and academic curiosity that Tahir exhibited during his tenure in the Collegiate Scholars Program.
