My middle son, Sam, has pre-B cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia. He has to undergo a rigorous course of chemotherapy. He is only four years old. He has a long tough road ahead of him, it's a lot for a kid his age.  While part of his treatment is covered by our insurance, keeping him healthy will  be expensive. No one thinks of the added costs it takes to have a child with cancer.

I'm a professional artist, but that industry is extremely competitive and it's hard to make a living with that. I'm also a stay at home mom to three beautiful boys who deserve my love and attention. We've looked into daycare if I were to get a normal job and that job would just barely cover the cost of babysitting or daycare for three kids and Sam needs special care, best given to him by his mommy. It just makes more sense for me to be with them. However, one income forces us to live paycheck to paycheck, never having spare money to add to our savings Or pay off debt.

We are good people who try to help others whenever we can. We just need a little help and I've had to learn, that it's ok to ask for help.
