On Monday, March 13th at around 8 p.m., my boyfriend Angelo was driving home after visiting his grandma and doing some work on her property. We were on the phone laughing and looking forward to his return. About 15 minutes into the call I heard the crash. On CA-65 (a one-lane highway) outside Porterville a van coming towards him went into his lane, causing a head on collision. Thankfully, the police were there when the accident happened and I could soon hear them assisting him. They heard my screams over the speaker phone and told me he was pinned in by the car. A couple hours later, his family and I arrived at the hospital just as he was landing from being airlifted to the trauma center. With the help of prayers and a wonderful medical team, Angelo is going to be make it. However, he still has a long journey ahead. He is healing from a broken femur, cracked ribs, bleeding in his heart and gut, a puncture through the chin to the teeth, and many cuts and bruises. We've created this GoFundMe to assist unforeseen medical bills, rent, transportation, etc. Angelo is a small business owner, so this accident takes him away from his clients and makes it difficult to support himself and his son. He's my best friend, an amazing man, and an even better father. We don't know what the next couple of weeks will look like, so anything will help. Thank you again for all the thoughts and prayers.
