On the evening of August 28th, our dear friend Brenda Svitavsky suffered a terrible accident that left her with multiple broken bones-including both ankles, a heel in one foot, multiple bones in the other foot, three ribs, two vertebrae, a concussion, and terrible bruising all over her body. This unexpected fall has turned Brenda and her husband, Jon's, life upside down. The road to recovery will be long and challenging.

While Brenda is receiving excellent medical care, the journey doesn’t end at the hospital. Going home means facing new obstacles. Everyday tasks, like moving around the house, getting upstairs safely-there are twenty-eight steps to get up to their apartment, and even the simplest movements, are no longer possible without significant help and changes.

To make recovery possible, Brenda will need:

Specialized medical equipment to support healing and mobility.

Home modifications to create a safe and accessible environment.

An Acorn stair lift that will enable her to get into her apartment.

These are essential, not optional, for Brenda to regain independence and quality of life. Unfortunately, the costs are overwhelming.
