TJ’s Healing Journey

Hi, my name is Annie Connors. My husband Colin met TJ Barnette over 20 years ago. TJ lost his father at a young age. Colin volunteered to mentor TJ & he has been in our lives like family ever since.

TJ is now 26 years old. In March TJ began to have migraine headaches & the Drs were trying to figure out what was going on since then. Last week he also developed chest & abdominal pain, along with fatigue & weakness. After many tests it was determined that TJ has acute lymphocytic leukemia. He begins chemo treatments today. His total treatment plan will take about 2 years. The Drs are hopeful he will make a full recovery since he is young & it was caught early. TJ has been dating Alicia for the past year. She has 2 children- Casey is 5, Curt is 2. TJ & Alicia had their first baby together on Monday morning- Brooklyn Grace. They are at the same hospital & TJ was luckily able to be in the room with them for the delivery.

TJ was the only one working & they are not sure when he’ll be able to work again. He will be in the hospital thru the initial rounds of chemo for close monitoring for at least a month. I’m starting this page to help cover their current expenses & future medical bills. Any donations & prayers sent their way are greatly appreciated!
