TJ's Fight: Overcoming a Dog Attack

Update (2/9/25): TJ is getting back to his normal self - he's flirting with the nurses and running around. He tried soft foods for the first time in days!!! 

For those of you that know our son,TJ, you will know how much he loves life - always playing, always curious.

On Monday, the unthinkable happened. He was attacked by our dog. From that point, our lives changed dramatically. After 3 hours in the ER, he spent 5 hours in surgery and has been in the PICU since.

This afternoon we were blessed with finding out that he has graduated from PICU and is now under the care of pediatrics at the hospital.

We have given up our dog, which has led to additional grieving, but we know that our son is far more important.

Please keep us, but especially TJ in your prayers as he continues to heal.
