Pig was recently diagnosed with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) which causes thickening of the muscle fibers of the heart. This caused pig to also experience Congestive Heart Failure. 
$4000 will cover Pigs initial hospitalization and diagnosis which include, 2 days 1 night at the animal hospital, echocardiogram, IV, blood panels, X-rays, oxygen, and meds to stabilize her breathing and heart. Because of her CHF she had fluid leak from the vessels into her lungs called pulmonary edema.

Pig will need ongoing exams, x-rays and blood panels and another cardiology visit in a couple of months which may include another echocardiogram ($700).
She is also on 3 medications Furosemide, Pimobendan, Clopidogrel for the rest of her life with some adjustments as needed.

Pig is the sweetest most loving cat I have ever met! She loves to cuddle and sleeps by my side every night. I was devastated the day of her diagnosis but seeing her improve with the medications has given me so much hope that she will have a good quality of life for as long as we may have together. She is my love and my heart and just want the very best for her.
