Courtney's Road to Recovery

Courtney Fastiggi went back to work in February after being out on FMLA. She had a possible cancer scare that required a hysterectomy. This was a successful recovery!  

Now she and Ben are reeling again, since her routine screening mammogram and a follow-up biopsy showed she has high grade Ductal Carcinoma in Situ, a type of breast cancer with the potential to spread.  Her first MRI suggests it has spread to lymph nodes-- not news they wanted to hear. She meets with her treatment team next week, but will need at least mastectomy and radiation. 

Courtney and Ben anticipate financial difficulties, as she has no more Paid Time Off after health scare #1, and Ben has been the stay at home parent caring & homeschooling for Maximilian and Seqora.
