Coach P, Coach Pendleton, Bill,
However you knew this great man and mentor, you knew him. Coach P retired last year, and it being Covid, we as a football family were unable to celebrate him for his 44 years of work and dedication with Esperanza Football, Weight lifting and Shot Put and Discus throwing for Track. How many of you have a great memory of him? How many of you would love to let this man see how much we loved him?
We are planning to celebrate Bill for his efforts from 1976 to 2020 with a complete remodel and upgrade of the weight room and in dedication the weight room will be called Camp Pendelton.
There will be an event that all will be invited to when the completion of the weight room is finished. With that being said, this is not an easy thing to do. Esperanza Football is in need of raising money for this project which will be nothing short of amazing, and all in efforts to memorialize a man that has touched so many of us through the years.
We are setting up this Go Fundme page to bring in as much as we can to get this done for Bill and The Aztec Football Family Alumni and future Aztecs. The monies raised through this will be going directly to the remodel of Camp Pendelton, for paint and equipment (which is greatly needed) as well as other equipment for the Football program.
A couple things about how to donate and what we will be doing. Esperanza Football will be having their annual Golf Tournament on July 23, 2021. We will be holding for alumni only who donate $100 or more, and after party. It will take place at 7pm the same night as the Golf Tournament. Coach Pendelton will be there! What a great night for those who love this man, to be able to talk to him and take a picture, or just plain say thank you. How many of you would love to come say hi, and revisit some of your good ole days?
Coach has been such an amazing person to look up to and this is going to be one of the best ways we can think to memorialize such an awesome person. If you feel it in your heart to donate please do. If you know other alumni that would be interested in donating and attending the party please pass the Go Fund me on to them. Every penny will help enable this dream we as a Football family have to memorialize Coach P.
