What about Bob?!

Everyone is asking. Hello, I'm Claudia, wife of Bob Volner. Bob suffered a potentially fatal accident as he mowed at the lake. It began when he smashed his hand between a tree and the mower. As he tried to get back to his trailer, he lost consciousness and fell from the mower head first. Bob broke his neck and back in numerous places … C-1, C-6, T-1, T-2, the worst being C-6. On X-rays it looks like two kids fighting over a wishbone that no one won. Bob’s injuries are similar to diving into the shallow end of a pool.

He was alone. Laid there for a long time. Knew if he couldn’t get up, he’d die there. Scary. Finally he forces himself to move. Somehow he loaded up his mower and drove back to the cabin. I immediately drove him to the Grand Rapids ER. He was air lifted to Duluth due to the severity of his injuries. He is lucky to be alive. He is lucky he’s not completely paralyzed. Then he had a stroke…how much can one body take!

People have prayed for him and asked how they can help. That’s why I started this “ Go Fund Me” page. We need help with costs of transportation, medicines, neck/back braces, insurance deductibles, food, accommodations, full time advocates for his many tests/doctor appointments that are three hours away. He has a long road of recovery ahead of him.
