Hi my name's Mark Court a proud father of 4 beautiful daughters, unfortunately we lost our first born Millie in 2011 at just two weeks old, I want to raise money in her memory and help show our appreciation to BCH for the work they do to help sick children and families through awful and as in our case tragic times no parents should go through.

In January 2011 we were very excited to welcome our first children into the world, and to make it more special we were expecting twin daughters.

What followed was a life changing and tragic experience for us as parents and as a family.

Mille was born first at 1.11pm quickly followed by her twin sister Maisie.

Maisie was and is still perfectly healthy and well, but Millie was unable to breath unaided when she was born, which resulted in Millie being rushed into Russell's Hall hospitals ICU unit.

Russells Hall did all they could to help Millie, but it became apparent that she needed specialist help fast at Birmingham children's hospital to find out what was wrong with her.

We got Millie transferred into BCH where all the tests and work which were done to try and help save our daughter.

Unfortunately there was no cure for Millie, so we were left with the hardest decision we have ever faced in our lives , which was to turn her life support off.

Something you never recover from as a parent.

We are lucky to have 3 sisters for Millie and as a family we talk and celebrate her, and gain strength from our experience of 2011 that our amazing two week old daughter has taught us.

I want to raise money for Birmingham children's hospital and to highlight all the amazing work that goes on there.

The nurses and doctors that not only do an incredible job , but are always there for families whatever the outcome.

Until you experience what goes on there you just cannot appreciate what a special and unique place it is.

So I have decided to jump out of a plane to raise as much money as possible in the memory of the bravest little girl I have had the pleasure to be in the presence of.
