In February of this year, Lisa had an awful accident resulting in significant trauma to her jaw and teeth. She has lost a total of 4 teeth and suffered a fracture in her upper jaw. She had other injuries as well, but the face was the worst. The cause was fainting, related to blood pressure. When she went down her face hit the corner of her piano.

She sought out emergency care and then was referred to her dentist. Her dentist along with other medical professionals failed to properly diagnose her or refer to the correct speciality. She went from February till now with chronic infection, fractured upper jaw, and constant pain, while investing over $9000 into her treatment that was worthless. Luckily, she is now in great hands receiving the care she needed before and deserves.

Not only has she suffered from physical injury, it’s also highly expensive and emotional. She has always had perfect oral care and taken pride in her teeth and appearance. She put in thousands of dollars for treatment on teeth that ended up being pulled anyway due to the infection. Any of you that know Lisa, know that she isn’t one to ask for help, or even share much about her personal life, which is why I am writing this(with her permission after a lot of persuasion).

Now that she is in good hands, she is on the correct path, but with the past expenses along with the future costs(upwards of 25,000), she is struggling with how to afford this. Yes, she has insurance, but dental coverage is minimal. She is trying to challenge her medical insurance to help cover as well, in hopes they will accept since the injuries were due to a medical issue. Either way, her out of pocket will be extreme and any support is appreciated.
