Andrea Aitken known as Anj, is a 42 yo mother of 3 kids under 3, her youngest is just 18 weeks old. Anj has just been diagnosed with Neuroendocrine carcinoma an aggressive and for her an incurable cancer.
Anj was still breast feeding her baby when her cancer was discovered, sadly her prognosis is a matter of months not years, the cancer has spread to her liver, bowel, and spine.
Ian, the childrens father, is a truck driver who is giving up work to be a stay at home dad and to help Anj with her through her pallative care.
They are hard working battlers who have a mortgage to pay and the usual day to day bills. Anj is fluctuating between hospital and home at the moment, and their purse strings are tight with medical bills and two kids are still in nappies. Not to mention the cost of formulae for the baby (she had to wean Leilah).
Ian is going to need a lot of support with the costs of child rearing 3 under 3, not just in the short term, but in the years to come.
