Hi, my name's Scott. About 3 years ago, I was diagnosed with a form of pancreatic cancer. I was operated on and had part of my pancreas and my whole spleen removed. Then a year later, it metastasized to my liver and I had to have a portion of that removed. It's now returned and I just went through a six-month round of a radioactive medication called Lutethera. Well, I just found out it didn't work. The tumors have increased in numbers and size. They're now trying me on another medication.
I have so many medical bills I'm behind on and it's caused me to get behind on my regular bills as well.
The one ray of sunshine through all of this has been my daughter. She's been my rock. She calls me multiple times each day to give me encouragement and is there for every doctor's appointment, test, scan, and surgery. She's even helped to pay some bills for me.
Since my divorce 12 years ago, there have been many times I feel alone. But when I do, she's right there picking up my spirits.
I sure could use more of that!
Maybe someday I'll be able to pay off my medical bills and catch up with others to be able to pay back my daughter with something really special.
Thanks for taking the time to read my story.
