TJ Pluid Medical Costs & Living Expenses

Hi everyone. Many of you know me if you are seeing this, but some may not. I'm one of Tj's big brothers...Chad. TJ and his boyfriend, Josh, were in a tragic car accident earlier this week. My brother broke his elbow and back and has been through 2 surgeries so far. He is up and walking and on a long road to recovery. We are brokenhearted for them as Josh unfortunately took the brunt of the accident and passed away at the hospital. My brother had the chance to say goodbye to his love and partner of the last year yesterday. I don't have all the details but feel like Josh somehow protected Tj in that instant, and I'm so grateful to him.

Josh and Tj both work at the Reid Park Zoo in Tuscon, AZ, where they met over a year ago. They both have an enormous love for animals, the outdoors, and their close friends and family. Watching my little brother, who has always had a passion and place in his heart for birds, start a life in Tuscon doing what he loves and meeting Josh has been so enlightening and amazing. To say I am a proud big brother would be an understatement.

Tj will endure high medical expenses beyond his insurance coverage on top of his monthly living expenses while he is out of work. As Tj begins his recovery journey, healing, and finding the strength to mend a broken heart, I hope you will consider donating whatever you can to help lift some of the financial burden.
