T.J. Hartford's Medical Fund

This campaign is for T.J. Hartford, my father. For 32 years, he has suffered residual physical ailments from a combination of past football injuries, aging, and injuries from a few serious car accidents. All of these problems cause intense daily pain in his back and shoulders that is so bad, he can barely do any strenuous physical activity for more than an hour, and doing so leaves him in great pain for days. Last year, T.J. was in another serious car accident, which has compounded these physical ailments to an almost unbearable level.

Thankfully, there is a surgical treatment which may help alleviate some of his pain. It involves going into his spine, where they will decompress one of his disks, cleaning off arthritis, and removing a cyst from his spinal cord, which is causing the worst of the pain. Without the treatment, the nerves in his spine will be pinched off within the next 6 to 9 months, and he will effectively be physically crippled. However, the doctor performing the surgery has had great success, and the treatment has been performed for decades. 

The funds we are trying to raise are needed as soon as possible, as the surgery will take place on January 16th, 2017. They will be used to cover any possible additional medical expenses, as well as covering regular bills, which will be lost while my father is recovering. His recovery time will be at least 4 to 6 weeks, so we are hoping to raise at least $10,000. If we reach our goal, and hopefully beyond that, it will be a tremendous help in relieving financial strain on the family's living expenses. Any donated amount will be extremely helpful, especially as it adds up. 

Please donate however much you can, as soon as possible. It is very urgent because our family can't afford to lose any income to medical and living expenses.
