TJ Fights Strong

This fundraiser is for TJ and the Veloz family! November 2019 TJ was diagnosed with a brain tumor, and had an immediate surgery the following day to remove the tumor. In January 2020 after we received pathology results we found out he had CPC (choroid plexus carcinoma) this also included metastasis in his spine. He started Chemotherapy immediately in December 2019 after they placed a port in his chest. His chemotherapy lasted until July 2020, and a month later August 2020 he started Proton beam therapy in which we traveled to San Diego for 6 weeks! After he finished his active treatment he had his first MRI searching for any evidence of disease. His scans in October 2020, February 2021, May 2021 all came back clear and stable. He was “cancer free”.

His most recent scan was Yesterday, August 10, 2021. He has a new tumor in his brain, but his spine is still clear. We are devastated as we thought this was all behind us. This is still so new we have yet to get a new treatment plan, his next appointment is the 16th. They think a 3rd brain surgery will be done in the next couple of weeks.

This GoFundMe is to help us as this hardship yet again rattles our minds. We will use this money towards every day living expenses as well as electricity, and water bills. Alongside rent if needed. My husband is our sole source of income and if he misses work he has to take the day off and unpaid, and with all the uncertainty we ask you to help us through this tough time..
