Tivon Deruisa ...will thrive

Donation protected
Gratefully, my 43 year old son Tivon and my 9 year old grandson, Emet, are alive!!!  They avoided the disaster that beset untold others and did not have to evacuate through flames and smoke.  Tivon and I have both expressed our gratitude that Emet did not have to experience that trauma. However, when he made it back to his Latigo Canyon homestead, Tivon found that he had lost EVERYTHING in the recent Malibu/Woolsey fires.

Sadly, they have lost all of their mementos from life‘s accomplishments and tokens from myriad adventures; personal items ranging from clothing, childhood photos, a very distinct record collection, rare books that have been out of print for decades, multiple vehicles, computers (including one of mine he was repairing), memory drives and tools — everything decimated in one fell swoop of a raging inferno.

More importantly, Tivon's ability to earn a living moving forward has also been taken away by this disaster. All of his musical instruments, recording studio, multiple professional cameras and photography equipment and his graphic arts studio are gone. Not to mention every single belonging you can imagine one would have in their home including all of his 9 year-old son's clothes, iPad, toys and video games.

Although, likely in great shock; Tivon does currently maintain that he’s just happy that he and his son are healthy and safe  (unlike the many people who have lost their lives in these rather wicked fires).
Tivon had only moved to the canyon in June and was grateful to finally have all of his belongings together and able to gain respite, hope and inspiration in such dramatic scenery which included a spectacular view down below of the Pacific ocean beyond the Malibu coast.  Unfortunately, we must consider that  his being without the aid of insurance, he will need housing, clothing and other supplies that will allow him to rebuild his life from scratch.

To be painfully transparent, ALL the possessions that he currently owns include the clothing on his back, his car, and a laptop. That’s it. End of story. Everything else he ever owned, preserved, or collected, yes even the Millennium Falcon; is all turned to ash.

He's applied for FEMA, I have started buying on credit some of the equipment he needs for a job this weekend (he canceled last weekend) but right now he needs everything else, from toiletries and shoes, you name it......

Your donation, whatever is comfortable for you...will support reconstructing their lives!!!  Thank you.
