"tHis Is Very IMPORTANT" (TIVI) is going to South Africa!

This one woman show is an entertaining show that spreads awareness, ends stigmas,  encourages you to get tested, to know your status and inspires you to live through LOVE.

After its  US Premiere 12 show run, opening January 18, 2018 and later being accepted and performing in the Santa Monica Binge Fringe Fest November 5, 2018; Rahvaunia is performing her Edutainment piece at the United Art Festival for the South Africa Fringe Fest.  Team TIVI  needs your support!

Africa is hit the hardest by the HIV/AIDS epidemic . TIVI would be a great vehicle to open the dialogue and educate the attendees on the rise of numbers of those being infected. Theatre goers will experience how someone with an HIV diagnosis is treated by those who are uninformed and learn the history of the epidemic... all while being highly entertained.

Donations are needed immediately.

There are set financial deadlines from February 22, 2019 through June 1, 2019 that the festival organizers have put in place. The balance of any monies owed after June 1, 2019 is due upon arrival in  South Africa for rehearsal.

Our Mission?

The most important mission of the show is to get people in the seats,  to experience an entertaining yet POWERFUL and EDUCATIONAL MESSAGE. All while providing FREE HIV & STD testing outside the venue before, during & after the performance.

We will be donating tickets to a non profit organization for the youth and/or at risk individuals.  Our ticket price is set for $6.59 to ensure that the show is within the means of the majority of the locals. There will also be the following additional discounts offered.

-50% off the last show

Our goal is to get this important message out to as many as possible and we can only do that by making the show affordable to the majority.

There will not be a profit made from ticket sales. It will go towards the additional production costs. (ie: the lighting tech fees, show technician fees, meal per diem for the team and any additional production costs for the installation of the projector, projector screen & electrical wiring to support the visuals of the show, etc.)

Who is Rahvaunia? 

Rahvaunia was born Rahvaunia L. Johnson and is the oldest of three siblings, one being a fraternal twin. She is a native of Flint Michigan and now resides in Southern California. Rahvaunia loves all things creative and believes that an artist should have more than one outlet. A quote you will often hear from her is, “Art is a voice and we should always have more than one voice.” 

As an actor Rahvaunia has appeared on all media platforms. She has played on Stage, TV, in Films and Web Series. (Most notably: Criminal Minds, Mistresses, Sexless and School of Hard Knocks) Rahvaunia has a recurring role (Theresa Wood) on the new Shonda Rhimes Shondaland/ABC 1hr Legal Drama "For the People".
