In 2014, Fiona Austin was subjected to a screening of the utterly ridiculous movie Sharknado. Once she recovered, she was inspired to take the trendy shark obsession and merge it with what is arguably Shakespeare's bloodiest, most violent tragedy (Titus Andronicus). The result? A rowdy farce, complete with a delusional sea captain, a gruesome shark attack, and a manipulative sea witch, entitled: Titus Sharkdronicus (a Willchum Sharkspeare production).

The show was originally presented to sold out crowds for three performances in April of 2015. Now, two years later, the cast and crew reunite to present a revamped show at the Hollywood Fringe Festival.

Though the Festival is amazing at helping theatre artists promote their shows and put up productions at a minimal cost, it is entirely up to the players to fund their projects. This includes paying for the venue, stage managers, costumes, sets, props, marketing materials, etc. which can really add up—even for a low-budget, public domain play like ours.

And so, we are asking for your help! $2,500 will cover most of our production expenses (costumes, props, etc), as well as venue rental, theatre insurance, and a stage manager for rehearsals, one preview, and three performances.

Supporting the arts is SO IMPORTANT, especially in this day and age, and we would be beyond grateful for any and all aid. If you are willing and able, skip your latte today and pitch in what you can: $1, $5, $50—it all helps! Help us reach the FIN-ish line! All donors will receive a special thank you in our show's program.
