Thank you, my beautiful community for all your help so far funding gender-affirming top surgery!

We have covered almost two-thirds of the $6000 bill. Just $123 more to hit $4000!!

I had my procedure on Monday, September 29, and it went really well! I mean, as far as I can tell beneath the bandaging and bruising. Ha! But with my eyes closed, everything feels great!

I got non-binary top surgery—a radical reduction so the pronounced and dysphoric signifiers of supposed femininity will no longer be so conspicuous. I've been binding for over a decade and it's taking its toll.

I was really hoping my work benefits would cover a good portion of the more than $6000 I will need to pay out of pocket, but that's looking unlikely. So, I am going to fight with my union to get it covered! I will advocate for myself, and for the many who will follow, because gender-affirming care is health care, and it saves lives!

So I’m calling out again in hopes a few folks might have $5 or $10 to chip in. Any amount is a treasured gift. Think of it like a tip at one of my drag or burlesque shows.

I am primed for a battle for these work benefits and I have great capacity for a righteous fight. When I win—and I plan to win—I will pay forward any excess funds raised, and help trans youth with their gender-affirming care!
