Dear Animal & Dog Lovers, our now 8 year old dog, Titus, needs immediate surgery for Laryngeal Paralysis in order to recover his ability to breathe, eat and drink without risk of suffocation. Titus had a rapid onset of this permanent condition and on August 13th, despite no prior symptoms, he began to struggle to breathe and was unable to eat or drink. On August 23rd, Titus will be undergoing a lifesaving surgery to permanently open a portion of his larynx, which has collapsed inward. The only other options are euthanasia or sedatives for the rest of his life. We have tried the sedatives and he will barely eat, drink or walk - his quality of life is at zero. We have paid $745 toward his emergency room visit and ask for your generous support in helping us pay for his life-changing surgery, which will cost $9,000 in total. This amount will cover xrays, anesthesia, medications, surgery and a hospital stay for recovery. Titus has served as a companion animal/support dog to my young adult son through difficult times and our family cannot imagine life without Titus. Please help us save our beloved family member so that he will continue to spread his loving energy and live a complete life.
