I'd like to share this amazing opportunity with you. I’ve been invited to travel to Ireland with a group of incredibly talented soccer players to play in the SuperCupNI, a very prestigious international youth soccer tournament!
Our team is comprised of 16 elite level 2002 players from North Carolina, Michigan and Florida. We are very excited about this opportunity!
SuperCupNI was formerly called the Northern Ireland Youth Soccer Tournament and the Dale Farm Milk Cup. The tournament is held annually to great fanfare in Northern Ireland, with matches mainly played in the North Coast area.
The really cool part is that many of the best youth academy teams in the world participate in this tournament each year. Famous athletes like Wayne Rooney, Paul Scholes and David Beckham have played in this tournament before going on to play professionally and for their country. In the 2002 FIFA World Cup there were 30 veterans of this tournament playing for their country. One day, we all would like to be counted in this group!
As you can imagine, it’s very pricey to travel to Ireland and stay for ten days. We are fundraising to help with the cost for this amazing experience and exposure. Our Coach, Dario Brose, is helping us set up a fundraiser and donations made for $25 and over will be entered for a chance to win a brand new iPad or an autographed NCFC (North Carolina Football Club) jersey, the drawing will be held on July 10th. Please forward this to anyone that you know that may be interested in supporting American youth soccer.
