Our Family’s Plea for Help After Losing Everything in the Texas July 4th Devastating Floods
On the morning of July 4, 2025, at 4 a.m., our lives changed forever. I woke to the sound of water rushing outside of our home while my wife, 5 of our 7 children, and my father were sound asleep. What was expected to be a quiet holiday morning quickly turned into a nightmare as floodwaters entered our home and consumed everything we’ve worked so hard to build. Our home, filled with memories of our seven children growing up, was submerged for days, leaving little to nothing salvageable. Every possession—furniture, clothes, photos, and cherished ancestral keepsakes—is now a heartbreaking pile on the side of the road, our life’s memories on display for all to see.
The structure of our home may be salvageable, but the interior is a majority loss. Contamination, mold, bacteria, and water damage from the floodwaters means we must replace everything: cabinets, showers, tubs, toilets, flooring, and walls. To make matters worse, we are not in a flood plain and did not have flood insurance, so our insurance company is unable to cover any of the damages. We are facing the overwhelming task of rebuilding our home from the ground up, with very little financial safety net.
This is where we need your help. We are humbly asking for your support to rebuild our home and give our family a safe place to heal and start anew. Every dollar will go directly toward replacing the essentials—walls, flooring, plumbing, and furnishings—so we can restore the warmth and security of our home for our children. Your generosity, no matter how small, will help us piece our lives back together after this devastating loss.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for reading our story and considering supporting our family during this incredibly difficult time. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
With Gratitude,
Brandon Titus and Family
