Hello friends! Unfortunately, our Dad, Tito,  and our Mom, Jackie, were admitted to the hospital about three weeks ago, and were both diagnosed with covid. Although my mother had been discharged home after a week in the hospital, Tito didn't have such luck.  Shortly after my mother was discharged, we got a call in the middle of the night that Tito needed to be urgently intubated. This was not a phone call I ever wanted to get, especially since my girlfriend and I are nurses who work strictly with covid patients, and see this everyday at work. It definitely hits so much harder when it effects one of your family members, and for us it has hit two.  My mother needed to get readmitted to the hospital after her symptoms worsened, and was treated for another week at Newark Wayne. Tito was transferred by ambulance (since the weather was too bad to fly), from Newark hospital to Rochester General and is currently fighting for his life on life support. He is sedated and paralyzed on a vent, and  is making some improvements, but we still are searching for anything that can help him win this battle. My mother has since returned home and is recovering slowly, but is terribly distraught for her dear husband. They both have been out of work for about a month now, and depend on both of their incomes to meet their needs. On top of that, they are going to have a large expense of medical bills to pay. This is a stressful time for all of us, but I am asking for help from anyone who is willing to donate to help my family. If your having your own financial burdens and can not offer a donation, then we ask you to please pray, share this page, and put positive thoughts into the universe for Tito and Jackie. He is the most caring, hard-working, and devoted man, who always puts others first. My mother, Jackie, has always taken care of so many people, and now needs those around her to take care of her while she is still recovering. They both are loved and cared for by so many people, and it is time they get some of that good karma back! Please aid my family in any way you can.
