Help Tito Reach the Goal to Beat Cancer
Donation protected
My best buddy has cancer.
When I first moved out on my own, I immediately noticed something was missing. My new home wasn’t going to be complete without a cat.
In comes Tito. I spotted him at the shelter being held by a volunteer. He just had his manhood taken and was being soothed. They offer to have me take over. He laid on my chest and immediately started purring.
It was all over in that moment.
Tito had a rough start. He was dropped at the shelter at about 7 weeks old. He was found alone, the tip of his tail was missing and most of his whiskers had been cut. We don’t know what caused these things, but I gave him so much love to make up for it.
He’s been perfect since. And by perfect, I mean an absolute terror. He knows how to hit all of my buttons and exactly how
to win me back over once he’s done.
But now 8 years later, I’m at the veterinary ER for the second time in 3 days. They discovered that he has lymphoma - a cancer in his lymph nodes.
He wasn’t eating or only eating very little. He was vomiting and thus very dehydrated. He’s either guzzling water or not drinking at all.
We started him on steroids which seemingly were helping him improve until he took a turn back in the other direction. He went from eating a little bit every so often to not eating at all again.
And he started hiding. And if you know, you know.
So now we are looking at chemo and I simply cannot do this on my own. I’m already $3000 deep and treatments are looking to be about $5000.
My full time job is barely enough for me to get by as it is, the economy is what it is, and my role is always one of the first to get laid off. I live on my own and don’t have a partner to split expenses.
I have to be smart, but I really don’t want to lose my buddy.
I appreciate even the smallest amount to give my guy another chance.
