Tito is in Trouble

One year ago Tito was a malnourished kitten found in a warehouse parking lot locked in a cat crate - abandoned with his sister, Trix. I adopted them both to keep them together and spent weeks nursing them back to health, and I’ve been so glad that I did!

Tito needed my help then and sadly, he needs my help again. But this time I am not sure I can give him what he needs so I am hoping you will help the three of us.

COVID has brought so much stress and these two kitties got me through in more ways that I can explain here. From exploring outdoors in their cat backpack to going for long, happy car rides to see my parents, and all the lazy movie nights in-between, we've been inseparable.

But yesterday I had to separate Tito and Trix for the first time since we found them. Tito had to be rushed to the ER due to a blockage in his small intestine. He went from playing with his sister to not wanting to get out from under the bed and whimpering - in under 24hrs. Once we arrived in the ER, it was a long day of waiting for testing to find out what the problem was. Then we were advised to get him into surgery as soon as possible. The surgeon was called in from home and the veterinary team was nothing short of incredible throughout everything. Despite the expense of surgery, I knew I had to try everything I could to save him again - I couldn’t just let him go.

The problem is that I cannot afford the bill but want to keep him alive. I am 25 and have worked my way through college and graduate school - usually holding two jobs at once. Now I have my first fulltime job fitting medical devices on kids at our local children’s hospital. I don’t have enough savings to cover Tito’s vet bills - predicted to be at least $7500.

I hate to have to ask you for help but - I’m not sure what else to do. Please donate what you can; no amount is too small.
