TO GET TO THE POINT:
We need to cover some costs to be able to get this film made. Which are the camera rental packages and the processing and scanning of the film, insurance, production design and more. Getting these funds will mean we will be able to shoot it on the right cameras for the project and get the best processing and scanning done by FotoKem. The team we have put together to make this film I truly believe in and can’t wait to make this film with them.
We would love for any of you who read this to join us in making this independent experimental short film.
$100 and above gets you a special thank-you credit on the film.
$500 gets you an associate producer credit on the film with IMDB credit also.
$1000 and above gets you an executive producer credit on the film with IMDB credit also.
ABOUT THE FILM:
The short film is about a young Director trying to make something unconditionally truthful. He becomes fascinated/obsessed with the topic of death. He starts to make a boundary-pushing film about telling his portraitures the scenario, death of a parent, capturing the whole thing, but the production is plagued with problems and emotions.
A FILM OF REALITY, FICTION, TRUTH AND LIES.
This is a passion project. It's reflective of trying to express ourselves freely. Trying to create something radical and experimental. I've assembled a small team of other artists driven by a fierce passion for film and pushing the boundaries of what it can be. We plan on shooting in late September.
The film will be shot on a mix of S16mm KODAK FILM, Super 8 film, and ARRI Digital.

WELL, I’LL END WITH ME:
Hi, my name is Tyler Del Cont, the Director and Writer of TITLED 8 PORTRAITS: SCENARIO, DEATH OF A MOTHER OR FATHER. I have always had a passion for film. I first started working on music videos and film sets in late 2016, when I met by chance at a local eatery a Practical Special Effects Coordinator named Rudy R. Perez who at the time had been in the industry for 30-plus years and would become my mentor. He taught me about special effects, pyro work, and about the industry itself. Over the years I have worked on a multitude of different film projects as a Director, 2nd Assistant Director, Practical Special Effects Assistant, Assistant Prop Master and Production Assistant. I believe strongly that we must strive to tell stories from an emotional impact, to capture a feeling of a people, a way of life. I’m a lover of cinema and want to uphold and tell stories that challenge us.
