Hi, my name is Mellane. I'm from Jamaica living in Indiana. I'm raising money to support my relatives, friends and community back home Who have been deeply affected by Hurricane Melissa. this fundraiser will go towards rebuild houses, food and medical supplies. My relatives have lost everything. They don’t know where to begin, and they have no one else to turn to because everyone around them has also been affected Hurricane Melissa. Every day they wake up not knowing what comes next, and many nights they can’t even sleep because of the conditions they’re living in.

Two of my sisters suffer from high blood pressure, and seeing the destruction around them has pushed them into deep stress and depression. It breaks my heart to know they are suffering like this.

I’m not asking for much.

If I can reach 100,000 people and each person gives just $1, that alone would give my family—and many others—the hope and fresh start they desperately need. They spent years building their homes, and in one night everything was taken away.

The government and other donors are doing what they can by providing food and medical supplies, and we are truly grateful. But my family still needs a roof over their heads. I have cried so much for my country and my loved ones, but crying won’t rebuild what was lost. That’s why I’m reaching out to the public for help.
