Ryan Needs Medical Help After a Senseless Attack
Donation protected

Ryan’s Story:
Ryan Freeman's life was forever altered by a random act of violence. Ryan became the victim of a senseless shooting, leaving him gravely injured and fighting for his life. The single bullet hit his spine leaving him paralyzed quadriplegic, and ventilator dependent. Ryan has now been hospitalized for almost 18 months.
Ryan's mother, stepfather, and siblings, live in Texas; however, Ryan’s devoted mother has been by his side every single day in a Michigan hospital providing unwavering love, support, and advocacy as he battles through his recovery.
The family has undoubtedly been torn apart by the distance separating them during this trying time. The emotional and financial strain is now taking its toll.
Our Call to Action:
Ryan’s family and friends are now rallying together to get Ryan from the hospital to live at home with his family in Texas, where he will continue to receive the care that he needs while being surrounded by the warmth and comfort of his family.
We are reaching out with a heartfelt plea for your help in getting Ryan the care that he needs in Texas with his family. Your generous donation will assist in making this possible.
How You Can Make a Difference:
Your donation (of any size), will go directly towards the expenses associated with Ryan’s medical care, and the medic airplane, which is required to safely transport Ryan to Texas.
The road to Ryan’s recovery is going to be long and very expensive. The ongoing cost of Ryan’s 24-hour care, rehabilitation, and adaptive living needs has been estimated at more than $300,000 to start.
With the move to Texas, Ryan may qualify for Medicaid; however, those benefits would not be available until 45 days after residency has been established and the family has been forewarned of the scarcity of those resources so we are counting on your support.
Your donation to Ryan’s long-term medical care and rehabilitation is needed and will be much appreciated. Let's show Ryan and his loved ones that they are not alone.
PLEASE donate and spread the word. Share this fundraising effort with your family, friends, co-workers, church members, and on your social media platforms. And above all, pray for Ryan’s healing and full recovery.
Thank you in advance for your kindness, compassion, and generosity.
Sincerely,
Tanya Duncan
