My 74-year-old uncle, a lifelong resident of Petersvale, Westmoreland Jamaica, has lost everything in Hurricane Melissa—his home, his small farm, and his livestock. With no wife or children to lean on, he now faces the unimaginable task of rebuilding alone.

The storm destroyed his humble house and livelihood, leaving him without even basic necessities: a bed to sleep on, pots to cook in, or tools to restart his farm. For a man who has spent decades working the land with quiet resilience, this loss is heartbreaking.
