Help Me Launch a Mobile Gaming Business and Save My Home
Story:
Hi, my name is J.J. Clark, Jr. I’m 53 years old, and I’ve worked hard all my life. For over 30 years, I ran my own construction businesses—most recently installing ground-mounted solar systems as a subcontractor for more than 10 companies across Texas, from San Antonio to Dallas.
But when the solar subsidies were cut during the Trump administration, the industry collapsed almost overnight. Since then, I’ve been out of steady work. I’ve burned through all my savings just trying to survive while searching daily for any kind of job or side work. The economy’s downturn hasn’t made that any easier.
Now I’m at a crossroads. I’m four months behind on my mortgage, and while my lender has told me they’re willing to work with me if I can show income, I need help to get back on my feet.
That’s where this new business idea comes in—and where I hope you’ll consider helping me.
I want to start a mobile sweepstakes gaming room inside an 18-wheeler trailer. It’s a legal, low-overhead entertainment concept that can bring fun and excitement directly to communities, especially where few options like this exist. I have the plan, the skills, and the drive to make it work. I’m ready to put in the 14-hour days, just like I’ve done my whole life.
But I need a push to get started. I’m trying to raise $35,000 to:
Purchase and renovate a 53-foot trailer
Build out the interior for a professional and secure gaming setup
Install electrical, seating, A/C, and necessary equipment
Get the trailer ready for operation as soon as possible
This isn’t just about a business—it’s about saving my home, which I rebuilt from a hoarder house into something beautiful with my own hands over 2½ years. It’s the only thing I have left, and I’m doing everything I can not to lose it.
If you’re able to donate, any amount helps. Even just sharing this campaign could make a difference. I know it’s a lot to ask—but I also know this business can work, and I won’t stop until I make it a success.
And I can make you one promise:
If I make it out of the hole I’m in—I WILL pay it forward.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my story.
With gratitude and hope,
J.J. Clark, Jr.
