Help Bowie Walk Again – Emergency Surgery & Recovery

Hi everyone,

I'm writing this with a very heavy heart. My sweet dog Bowie suddenly became paralyzed in his back legs this week. One moment he was completely fine, and within just 12 hours, he couldn’t walk anymore. It all happened so fast—it was a total shock.

After rushing him to the vet, we found out he had a hernia in his spine that required immediate surgery. Bowie had the operation on Friday and is currently still in the hospital, recovering. The total cost of the surgery is already €4,500, and it's likely to increase as he needs to stay under medical supervision a little longer.

Once he’s stable enough to come home, Bowie will also need intensive physiotherapy to have a chance at walking again. That recovery journey is going to take time, effort, and resources—more than I can manage on my own right now.

Bowie means everything to me. He’s not just a pet—he’s family. Seeing him go through this has been heartbreaking, and I want to do everything I can to give him a chance to heal, walk, and enjoy life again.
