Without documents to becoming an MD (I cannot hide anymore)

THIS IS THE TITLE: From undocumented to becoming an MD (I cannot hide it anymore) (I just want to heal people and be a good dad).

Straight-to-the-point summary: I am not doing well and I am in need of money. Please assist me, a former undocumented immigrant.

Why not ask your mom and dad?
* My dad slowly sent himself to the grave with alcohol 10 years ago, he cannot help
* I have a retraining order against my abusive mom, she cannot help
* My mom alienated me from most aunts and uncles, they cannot help

Why not take out more loans?
* My undocumented backstory has led me to accumulate a lot of student loans even before starting med school. My current loan amount is very high. The Financial Aid office is not approving me for loans sometimes; but regardless, if possible, I would prefer to not take out more loans. It hurts my soul taking out more dollars.

My backstory:
At 9 years old, I crossed the US-Mexico border on foot and I became an impoverished wetback. Regardless, I worked hard on my education. When I turned 18 years old, the obstacles became immensely intimidating. The US government sent a clear a message: you are a illegal and you are destined for manual labor. I said, “No, I want to heal people”. This defiance led to many money issues, including many loans. Also, FYI, eventually I did become a US Citizen.

Why did I start a GoFundMe? For a long time I have tried to fit in, but . . . . . my story is simply too different from many people. I am not trying to create a Suffering Olympics, making a competition of which person has suffered more. All people have suffered in other ways.

So yeah, I have tried to fit in, but I cannot pretend anymore. I am a genuine NONTRADITIONAL student. Good things have happened to me (my son, wonderful fellow student-doctors, Societies), but also many of bad things have happened to me:
* Divorce from my wife of 13 years
* My son was hospitalized for appendicitis in March
* My car needed gas tank replacement ($555.00)
* My wife’s car needed brakes and rotors ($865.00)
* I got hospitalized, I had to step out of a clerkship
* I have been having costly immigration issues
* And other things

How am I finding solutions:
*I submitted my car repair receipt for more loans (ouch! More debt)
*I am working Construction day jobs at Labor Systems
*Cutting back on food purchases and usage of light bulbs
*Getting food from the Pop-Up Food Pantries on campus
*And other things

Thank you for your concern.
