I never thought my life would flip upside down so quick with everything in the world working against me.
2 years ago I had corrective surgery to fix my condition called pectus. My sternum was growing inwards causing multiple medical problems such as bronchitis, pneumonia, sepsis, etc. It was a very serious life changing procedure. My sternum was broken into multiple pieces then two titanium rods were screwed to my ribs and it held my sternum in place of how it needed to regrow. Also while I was having my surgery my doctor discovered my heart and lung had grown together by 4 tendons causing major stress on my heart so those tendons were removed and now they are separate. I've been on pain medication for two years now to deal with the pain and so far so good.
Except now. My titanium bars have come undone and are pinching me internally and the pain is so unbearable I can't get myself up and out of bed. No one is sure exactly what caused this, some doctors believe the stress of the bars on my ribs overtime just snapped.
The only way for the pain to stop and to feel better is to have these bars removed. Which is great (except my surgeon is in Virginia and his soonest available is in august 10th) it is time for them to be removed but until then the pain gets worse daily. I am unable to finish school, work, overall take general care of myself. It's very hard for me to fathom this because i've always been a very independent person. It's very hard for me to ask for help but I don't know what else to do.
Anything helps. I appreciate all of you, even for just reading this and checking up on me.
This money will be used for er / doctor visits, prescriptions, food etc. Honestly just to help me take it easy and still live comfortably.
