Conor, Kieran & Gavin are running the Dublin City Marathon for Tireragh AC on Sunday the 25th of October 2026. All 3 are members of Tireragh Athletics Club based at the Skreen/Dromard Community Centre in Co. Sligo and are raising funds for Tireragh A.C. They have been training hard for the last 4 months in preparation for the marathon! Conor and Gavin are also involved in coaching our juvenile members in a range of athletics events.

Tireragh A.C. provides athletics coaching for children aged 7 and older in the local Skreen/Dromard area but we have members from other areas in Sligo: Beltra, Templeboy, Dromore West, Aughris, Coolaney, Ballisodare, Collooney and Ballintogher. Our membership has increased in the last 3 years and we now have 100 juveniles and 20 seniors registered with the club. Our club is primarily for the juvenile members with some of our seniors competing as well. The club promotes the run, throw and jump skills of athletics. Like all clubs, our coaches are volunteers and the club needs funding to keep it going. Your donation will help with the running costs of the club, competition costs, training, improvement to facilities and new equipment. As well as raising funds for Tireragh AC we will make a donation to our local Community Games organisers who also do great volunteer work with kids from our club, promoting a wide variety of sporting events with a lot of cross over with athletics events as well as loads of other activities with some provincial and national successes such as Draughts!

This is our only fundraising activity of the year so any donation no matter how small is greatly appreciated.
