Hi my name is Ethan Williams.

I am in 5th class student in Scoil Mhuire primary school in Killorglin Co.Kerry.

I have been growing my hair for many years now.

I've actually never had short hair before so this will be my first time having what you might call a "boy's haircut". That makes the moment feel even bigger (and a little bit scary,if i am honest!)

Cutting my hair is a big change for me, but if it can make a difference in a child's life then it's 100% worth it.

I am taking on a very special challenge of bravely cutting my hair in support of the Repunzel Foundation that provide real hair wigs to children and young people who have lost their hair due to medical conditions like cancer or alopecia. This is a huge step for me that will make a real difference.

But it doesn't stop there.Every single euro i raise will go directly to Louise Quill founder of Tír na nÓg Childrens Foundation in Tanzania,supporting children and communities who truly need it.

Louise is a teacher is my school and i was lucky enough to have her teach me for a year.She had such a huge influence on me and all of my friends.I still remember her telling us about her orphanage in Tanzania,the children she cares for , and her incredible plans to give them a better future.

Those stories stayed with me.

This is more than just a haircut - its kindness,courage and compassion in action and something really special.
